Bourn & Koch's new 1000VBS CNC Gear Shaper: An innovative stroking unit allows users to shape spur or helical gears by simple inputs into the CNC Siemens 840D control HMI. Guideless, it has quick returning stroking to reduce non-productive upstroke time and has a maximum diameter to 40" (1000 mm) with 8" (200 mm) of stroke. The cutter head is mounted on a moving slide to eliminate fixture build-up from the table. It is a great upgrade from the old Fellows 36-6 shaper.
