New Features, New Design, Innovative Capabilities
IMTS 2016 is the premier trade show for the metal-working industry. As a veteran of machine tool building and provider of manufacturing solutions, Bourn & Koch showcased their 400H Horizontal Gear Hobbing Machine alongside Star-SU in the Gear Generation Pavillion.
The 400H: High-AGMA Class Capability in Specialty Applications
Bourn & Koch’s 400H is part of our flagship H-Series of horizontal gear hobbing machines. With a max module of 6.4 and the ability to accurately hob long workpieces in a compact footprint, the 400H is an ideal machine for the manufacture of aerospace components for helicopter rotors and jet engines. We showcased our industry exclusive Point-To-Point Array hobbing capabilities to the machine tool manufacturing community.
Our debut of the internal stack light concept for machine tools was a hit. During cycle, the machine lights up green to show the status. In the event of a stoppage to the gear cutting process, the machine lights up to red, indicating that it is no longer in cycle. Additional lighting colors show machine status as well and can be programmed by the user to specific functions.
Our new 22″ touchscreen monitor on our Bourn & Koch 400H gear hobber was the perfect way to display our newly designed HMI. Numerous compliments on the ease of use for the programming of the machine were received. We truly appreciate the opportunity to meet the many customers that stopped by our booth to learn more about what we at Bourn & Koch are passionate about, engineering and building precision gear manufacturing equipment.
The 400H seen at the show is currently in-stock and available for immediate delivery. Click below to learn more about the features on the machine.
