In October of 2014, Bourn & Koch acquired King Machine Tool. King was a prominent builder of vertical turret lathes (VTL) and vertical boring mills (VBM) throughout the middle of the last century. King Machine Tool was founded in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1901. Over the years, King was acquired by numerous companies including American Steel Foundries and GA-Gray Machine Tool. OEM parts and support were still provided out of Cincinnati up to the acquisition of the company in 2014 by Bourn & Koch.
As OEM for King Machine Tool, Bourn & Koch keeps numerous parts on hand for your King VTL or VBM. We can make any part on your King Machine Tool to OEM specifications including large spindle assemblies for 100″ and larger vertical turret lathes. We also provide field service and rebuild for King’s machines, allowing you to keep a quality piece of American Iron in production for decades longer. Large VTLs and VBMs are expensive to replace. Bourn & Koch can rebuild your King Machine Tool for a fraction of the cost of a new machine.
