Bourn & Koch began providing parts and service for all makes and models of Blanchard grinder in 2002 as part of our acquisition of DeVlieg-Bullard Services Group (DBSG). Since then, we’ve literally provided parts for thousands of machines. In case you hadn’t noticed, we also build new Blanchard grinders and remanufacture them to OEM specifications.
Many of our customers have been working with us since day one of the acquisition. One of these customers is The Sullivan Corp., based in Hartland, Wisconsin. Sullivan does rotary surface grinding up to 224”, owning the largest Blanchard grinder ever built.

OEM support for their Blanchard grinders is very important to Sullivan, having tried other suppliers to meet their needs. Mr. Newkirk told us about some of his experiences with other suppliers for parts, stating that reverse engineered or aftermarket parts “seldom saved enough time or money to justify the trouble or risk.”
Reliability is important to all machine shops. In that respect, older machine tools don’t always figure in to current or future plans for equipment. With OEM support from Bourn & Koch, Sullivan has been able to keep their seven Blanchard grinders running in top shape. Mr. Newkirk stated that “…working with B&K helps keep them reliable as ever.”
